He hid in a corner, eyes locked on her. No one saw him; he was a pro at hiding. He followed her everywhere — home, online, you name it. He knew her schedule by heart.
Her online life was an open book to him. Every post, friend add, and like, he saw it. He made knowing her his mission, waiting for the right moment to come out of the shadows. Time wasn’t an issue for him; he was in it for the long haul.
Then, one day, she slipped up. It was small to anyone else, but to him, it was the break he’d been waiting for. It was as if all his patience had finally paid off.
He didn’t hesitate. Coming out from his hiding spot, he approached her. This was it. He leaned in, triumph on his face, ready to say the words he had rehearsed in his mind countless times, “I told you so.”
